Who Should Attend

This course is designed for workers and operators who are required to operate scissor lifts (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) safely in their workplace. It is mandatory for anyone operating scissor lifts in Singapore under the Workplace Safety and Health Act.

Suitable for workers across construction, logistics, warehousing, facilities management, manufacturing, and any industry where scissor lifts or aerial work platforms are deployed.

The “Operate Scissor Lift” Course is aimed at providing individuals with the knowledge and skills to operate scissor lifts safely. At the end of the course, participants will be proficient in selection of appropriate scissor lifts, conducting *risk assessment and route checks, identification of hazards for scissor lift operations, basic scissor lift operations and reinstating scissors lift in a safe manner.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be proficient in:

  • Selecting the appropriate scissor lift for the task and work environment
  • Conducting risk assessment and route checks prior to scissor lift operations
  • Identifying hazards associated with scissor lift operations and applying appropriate controls
  • Performing basic scissor lift operations safely in accordance with WSH regulations
  • Reinstating the scissor lift in a safe manner upon completion of work

Assumed Skills & Knowledge / Pre-requisites

To register for this course, learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

  • Have a basic knowledge of relevant sector of work
  • Be able to listen speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 3
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to the (ES) Level 3
  • Be medically fit to work at height

Course Outline

  • CE1 — Prepare to carry out scissor lift operations
  • CE2 — Carry out scissor lift operations
  • CE3 — Conduct post operation for scissor lift

Statement of Attainment (SOA) & Safety Card

Statement Of Attainment (SOA) from SSG will only be issued for ENGLISH classes.

Operate Scissor Lift Safety Card from AA International Consultancy Pte Ltd will be issued to participant who passed the assessment and achieved 100% attendance.

E-Certificate will be awarded to trainees who has passed the assessment and achieved 100% attendance.
